Gina, I am surprised that your CF social worker recommended a 1:1 assistant for this year. What sort of help does the social worker think that your child requires? My daughter is a little younger than yours (3y4mo) so she won't be starting kindergarten for a while, but she is absolutely fine in her preschool without one-on-one assistance. Has your Sophia been to preschool? Does she need help throughout the day to manage herself? I suspect that you will be pleasantly surprised at how well she rises to the occasion of kindergarten.
