I have problems with that same thing with Cipro and what I MUST do is eat something before I take it or else I will throw up or feel like throwing up. So maybe try that. I also only do 500mg 3 times a day. You are on a big dose if you are doing 750mg 3 times a day. You also can ask for Zofran it is this tablet you put under your tongue and it dissolves and helps with nausea. It does come in generic too and it not expensive at least if you have insurance not sure what retail cost is but maybe you can try that with each cipro dose.

Good luck and feel better!

I do not have CF, but I am suffering long term side effects from Cipro. I only wish I had thrown it up! I just wanted to let all of you know, since this drug seems to be a staple for you all, that it can have some pretty serious side effects. If you start to ache all over or are unable to walk because your muscles, joints and tendons are in severe pain, then you are likely suffering from Cipro side effects. It also causes tendon ruptures. If any of you are suffering from these side effects, please check out my blog for suggestions on how to deal with them and please let me know.
My best to all of you!

Michelle, I'm so glad you have suggested you blog. My side effects started with numbness and tingling in my feet. Now I have full-blown peripheral neuropathy.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I have broken the pill into smaller pieces and take them separately. I also am eating a ton of food right before and I have cut it down to two pills a day. Hopefully that helps!
