Time to Pay for our Respitech Vest

Respirtech ASSURED us that our Vest would be paid for too. Our insurance paid a little under $4,000 towards it, which left us with almost $10,000 to pay.

I got $5,000 paid by this Foundation:

We made some payments and ultimately got the bulk of the debt written off. I don't know if this would help in your situation because if I remember correctly you have to contact them (UHCF) before actually receiving the medical equipment. That was about 2 years ago, though, so their policy may have changed.

Since most of it already covered, there's no way a vest company would take the machine back. However, they cant' simply write off the amount by law without making a valid attempt to collect it first. I'm sure you can make payments as low as $20 per month. If you're simply not able to pay anything, they'll probably end up writing it off, but they have to jump through the legal hoops to do so.
