I had been off of HTS for a drug study, but now that I can be back on it, maybe that's what I need to get a lift. I thought maybe the extra Pulmozyme. I just feel like I'm having really poor mornings (a lot of coughing and slow down, trying to get ready for work, driving to work and my first part of the work day) and then feel better in the afternoons. I am also seriously considering a tuneup since it's been almost two years since my last one. I don't want to do it, but I'm thinking since a month of antibiotics has not done the trick, maybe I've got some mucous plugs that the inhaled antibiotics are not touching.

From an insurance reimbursement point, "medically necessary" is the operative phrase for coverage. Of course insurance carriers have their "experts" who may decide some medicine prescriptions are not "medically necessary" over certain dosages. It sounds like those on the site now are getting BID (twice daily) coverage. Even if you are initially rejected (they do that), a more forceful "medical necessity note" from your doctor will be accepted.

My son was on twice a day about 3 yrs ago for almost 6 months after e had been really sick. He is currently on once a day and I think that is enough right now. Our insuranace at that time (thank goodness) covered twice a day with no problem.
