Okay so what was your best costume ever?

I was 14 or 15 and my friends and I were sure we were entirely too old for trick or treating. So on Halloween as it got dark we were all set to stay in together and then some guys called and then a Mom reminded us that we still like candy and it would be FREE candy. So my friends mom drug us to a closet and started whipping things out and the next thing I know we're all done up to go. A pirate, a hobo and me...pippy longstocking. Her Mom bent a wire hanger to my head and braided my hair over it and did us all up. We ran out and I swear they were our best costumes ever and we had sooo much fun!

I know it's not on topic...boo hoo hooo. It's October.

I was Donna from that 70's show, and Ry was Eric, we got really into it, he straightened his hair, I put temporary red in mine. It was so much fun, and we got so many compliments on it!

When I was a senior in high school, my girl friend and I dressed up like flashers. Were wore men's raincoats with cream colored tights and body suits underneath.

Bill and I were Leonardo and Mona Lisa once. I walked around holding the painting with my face cut out.

My kids best costume was a robot. We made a silver cardboard front and back (like a sandwich board) and glued all kinds of electronic junk to it. There were things that lit up and buzzed, very fun. The helmet was a smaller box with the face cut out. It had glowing lightbulbs and other junk parts. Everyone wanted to play with it. So cute.

Every year i always made myself up to be a cat. It took a long time to get the hair right the ears right, and all the make-up, I have some great pics, but i dont have a scanner so i have no way to show them, but i decided to do something different last year. I went out to my friends house with my black leather coat on ,....jeans.... a sweat-shirt ....and drove my hotrod there and said i was a "Car Chick". Easiest one yet, since i really AM a Car Chick.... lol <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I was pippy longstocking one time too.

When I was 5 or 8 or something, my friend and I wore big dice cubes. We were a pair of dice, white painted faced, etc. A lot of energy went into that one.

Another time I went to a party with some college friends and three of us dressed as dead blair witch kids. Very fun.

Well I have 2 favorites.

One is from High School. Some friends and I wanted to dress up and go out together. We didn't want to all be something different though we wanted our costumes to go together. There in lied the problem there were 4 of us. It is easy to get 2 costumes that go together, but 4 that go together and that everyone liked was rough. Well we were all big Saturday Night Live fans and we started thinking of different skits - we ended up all dressing as the guys from the Night at the Roxbury skits. The best was we would only do it if we had the music. We tracked down the song and then got a HUGE cardboard box - colored it with markers like it was a radio and cut 2 holes in it for our friend (she was the stereo). There were 3 of us "guys" and the one that walked around as the stereo - with an actual stereo in the box playing the song on repeat all night. We had a blast - and the best was that some adults actually knew who we were supposed to be lol.

As for No. Two. Kurt and I have dressed up as Woody and Bo-Peep from Toy Story twice. The first year we went to WDW for one of the Halloween parties they have. It was Kurt (Woody), Myself (Bo-Peep), Kurt's sister (Jessi - cowgirl) and Kurt's 2 cousins (Buzz Lightyear and Zurg) that were 4 and 6 at the time. We had a blast I had semi short blonde hair at the time and straightened out - I had the whole get up and looked just like the character. The best was when we had little kids following us around wanting to get pics taken (which we couldn't do because it was against Disney policy). Then we went to eat at one of the restaurants and one of the Cast Members went in the back and got all the kitchen staff to come out - it was strange but funny because they all appluaded us and complimented our costumes. It was great.

Happy Halloween,
Lindsey

I went as the headless horseman one year. That was the best costume ever. It was an oversized mans shirt and jecket sewn together with heavy padding under the shoulders so that the neckline actually sat above my head. Complete with blood and everything. I think I would have been in grade 6 at the time, so probably 11 or 12 years old.
