I get up with Kayla in the mourning to feed her when nobody else is up,so we have alone time then. Its priceless. Its almost like clock work, I get up at 6 a.m.
go down stairs make coffee get her bottle & enzymes ready and by 6:00 to 6:30 shes up.
I get a pillow lay it on my lap, lay her on it and feed her as she grabs at my nose or smacks me in my face.
Then by the time I have to leave for work she falls back asleep so my wife can sleep in.

awww, kaylasdad sounds a lot like Kevin. That's almost exactly like what Kevin does every morning with Grace. I love to see Dad's who love their children so much. And my son AJ is unbelievable. He is very ill much of the time and barely lets it get him down. For 5 he so mature about his cf and I am in awe of him. I couldn't be more proud to be a mom.

I love reading how much each and every one of you appreciate your children. I had 12 wonderful years with Haley and I have very few regrets, if any.
She taught me so much about life and I was able to embrace the importance of being a parent.
Although CF is a horrible disease, I do believe it opened my eyes years ago to not take a single day for granted. I will now cherish the time I have left with Brenna, my youngest.
Live each day to the fullest!! Enjoy your kids. Hug them tight each night, and never forget to tell them how much you love them.
Thanks for reminding everyone just how important this is.

This is a nice thread.

My girls are everything to me, too. They amaze me everyday. What's interesting is that they amaze me in totally different ways.

Emily is my CF'er and she is quite the handful. A typical two and a half year old, with a little extra spunk thrown in. She never fails to make me smile, even when I'm so mad at her I could spit! She is going to make some doctor EARN his money trying to get her to be compliant, someday. She has a personality unlike anyone else I know, and I love her fiercely.

Her sister is pretty much a carbon copy of me. That's going to cause us some problems in a few year, I assure you.

Tonight we were at a wedding with my parents. My mom is not is good health and has had some tough times lately. I glanced at her tonight and caught her watching my girls with the biggest smile on her face. She was just captivated by them. Seeing the joy they brought to her made me get teary.

We really don't stop to think about how precious our kids are nearly enough, do we? Thanks for the opportunity!
