Does Tobi or Cipro make you tired? Tyler seems tired/cranky all the time since doing these treatments. Also he spit up what looked like half his bottle and all of his enzymes after I gave him a bottle this morning. I had JUST finished giving him his Tobi...could that have made him spit up? He also coughs alot afterwards...is this all normal? Oh and one more question..does either one make their stools diff.? He's been more gassy and having mooshy stools and a couple of them had what looked like alittle mucus in it.

The cipro, like some antibiotics can do a number on the digestive tract. DS had more issues when he was on augmentin, not as bad with the cipro. He just hated the taste/texture of that one. I usually increased his yogurt intake, I know some people use probiotics such as culturelle.

Tobi can irritate the nose, throat -- some people have indicated that they have issues with bronchiospasmps with it. I know when DH and I sit with DS while he does tobi, our nose and throat sometimes feels scratchy or burns. DS mostly tends to get a little stuffier nose and sometimes at the beginning he'll sound a little froggy or hoarse, but it usually goes away.

Could he be coming down with a cold? Despite DS being on all kinds of abx, tobi.. he still comes down with a cold or upper respiratory bug from time to time...

I think that Tobi can change the kids behaviors!!! Ethan Sky always got a little more defiant when on extra meds.
The poop stuff is very normal with antibiotics. The antibiotics are killing the good bacteria in the gut along with the bad ones. You want to replace the good ones with a probiotic. I actually give the boys lots of probiotics daily and we haven't been on antibiotics in over a year. Culturelle seems to work really good when the boys are on antibiotics, but doesn't help much when they are not. We go to vitacost.com and get the kids chewable probiotics, they do have a powedered one also or you could just get capsules and pour out the powder in applesauce or something.

Caleb 2 1/2 takes 11 billion and Ethan 6 takes 15 billion

blessings,
missa

Thanks for the comments, today didn't go so well w/the Tobi..Tyler got upset this morning during the treatment and then afterwards I gave him a bottle and he spit what looked like half the bottle and all of his enzymes back up! Maybe I gave him his bottle too soon..maybe I should wait awhile after doing the Tobi? Then this evening while doing the Tobi he got SOOO upset and was screaming and shaking and he spit up!! It didn't look like milk it was kinda mucusy and looked like his Cipro had come up w/it too. I'll be glad when he's off these meds and that it got rid of the psuedomonas so he wont have to do this again! My poor baby... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
