for those of you who use TOBI my nurse gave me some advice tonight to help the tightness. She said to add the Albuterol in the TOBI when doing it. She said to do my atrovent and saline then do airway clearance. Then do my TOBI with the albuterol and I should not get the tightness. Unless of course I am just reacting from it but since I have been on it for 3 years and this is only the second round that has affected me this way it is probably because when I do the TOBI it loosens up the junk which then falls into my airways causing me to feel like someone shut off my lungs. Made sense to me. And since I have such a bad infection I can't get the junk out completely before the TOBI so the rest falls into my airways. So tonight I am trying it...hopefully it helps.

Thought I would pass along this info to you guys and hopefully someone else can feel the effects too <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

They also gave me Cipro to help with this great infection I have. So fingers crossed everything works!!!!

Very interesting. I am currently on Tobi and have been for 3 weeks, but in the last week have developed more tightness...I will mention it at my clinic visit this week! Thanks!

Hmm. I wonder if that is a good idea to mix with Tobi, I have always thought that you should not mix anything with Tobi or Pulmozyme for that mater. If you are tight I'd ask about an inhaled steriod ie, Advair, Asmanex, Azmacort, Pulmocort.
