I have read that tonsils and adenoids can be among the organs affected when dealing with CF, but there is not much information out there about it. What experiences do you have? What were your symptoms? How were they relieved?

Thanks!
DD's doctor mentioned the possibility of enlarged adenoids and wanted to perform a sleep study. She has always snored and is somewhat of a "mouth breather". However, she never complains about her face/ears/sinuses bothering her - thus, I don't feel they are a problem at this time. If they were, she would have experienced pain and discomfort in addition to sinus infections. The adenoids play an important role in fighting bacteria that would otherwise travel to the lungs more easily. We're not worried about it at this time...would rather keep them until it's a known problem (i.e., signs of infection occur and/or infections lead to concern for nasal polyps). The adenoids also shrink with age...hoping that occurs first.
