Took the first Step...scheduling port surgery!

Yup.  I arranged my schedule at work so that I can have a few days off after the surgery...and I called the doctors office today.  I am really hoping that I can get it scheduled the 23rd.   I am scared.  But I know it is the right decision and I will be happy with this step.  Please say a prayer that it all works out the way I want it to.

It isn't easy to choose a port, but the results will be worth it! Make sure you discuss placement with the surgeon so you can tell him your preference. A while back someone posted pictures of their ports, it was very helpful. Good luck!
