Transplant questions

It's been a LONG time since I've posed anything about Mark but I've got some questions and I'd love some guidance!

He was admitted to the ICU on Tuesday, for a really bad exaserbation. He was transferred out of ICU on Friday and went home this afternoon. They sent him home on 02, this is a first and he is struggling with it. He's also growing a new variant of Staph but the final report isn't complete so we don't know yet if it's MRSA (I'm praying it's not!!!). He's got a PICC and they have him on Vanc, Tobi and Clindimycin.

Some of you might remember that I had always mentioned he was against a lung transplant. I though his opinion might change after we had the trio, but it didn't and he still remained adamant about not wanting one. However, when I visited him on Friday he told me he wanted to get info and get listed. My jaw dropped to the floor. I'm thrilled he's considering it.

So, is anyone out there willing to maybe reach out and talk to him? He will be at home for a few days resting before going back to work so I know he will have some time to maybe chat online or on the phone. I just know he's pretty freaked about it, and has NO idea what a work up for getting listed even entails. If anyone is interested in chatting with him, can you email me at jraysbrook@shoreline.edu or call/txt me at 425-280-7310? Thank you!

This is not my area!(yet) but I wanted to send support. That is such good news that he's changed his mind about transplant. Thank you for the update butI am sorry he hasn't been well.

I'm glad that Mark is home, and resting. I hope some of our great members will reach out to him, and share their experiences.

Children certainly do change a person's view of things. <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

I textd you and I hope you got it. But anyways, I would love to talk to Mark about transplant and help him make his decision! I am available whenever he needs to talk.

I had my tx in 2007 and am waiting for another one because of chronic rejection. But I obviously feel it is worth it, considering im waiting to do this again. Its completely worth it!

I got your text anna and forwarded your info to him. He may or may not contact you, he's just weird about stuff sometimes and he and I are "not in a good place" again so who knows. But thank you for your willingness.

Thanks everyone for the support!!!
