Transplants

I cultured Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. I was more fortunate in that I was never really junky and congested. My problem happen to be the lower lobes of my lungs where the chemical exchange takes place, which means that I ran on a lower oxygen level... and anyone who has experienced low oxygen knows how that can be a hinderence. Anyways, I also had the typical traped air in my upper lobes, and with more and more scare tissue, my lung functions just started going down, and my breathing became worse and worse.

How old were you when you got your transplant?

Let's see. My transplant was 05/11/97 so I was 27, and a month later I turned 28 years old. I'm now 36... soon to be 37.
