You can't do pulmozyme or tobi with a pari trek due to particle size -- you won't get the full benefit of the medication.

I've gotten almost all of our regular compressors online without going thru insurance. We have both a devilbiss and a pari proneb ultra II. I prefer the latter because it's more compact. I paid about $100 for the devilbiss and $50 for the pari. When we got our first pari proneb via the hospital, the DME charged our insurance $350+ for it and I later saw them online for $69

I would love to get the eflow, but my doc will not budge on that one. Yet... I'll wear him down eventually. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

So the more searching that I do the more I would like one that is compact and with rechargeable battery option so that I can take it camping or in the car. Liza, the PARI Proneb Ultra II looked like something that my CF doc would approve, but does it take batteries for those times that I am not near electricity?

The pari proneb ultra is a regular compressor; however, I HAVE used it on the road for DS with nebs -- duo neb (atrovent/albuterol) by using it with an adapter to plug it into the cigarette lighter, though if you go that route, you may also want to see if it gets enough pressure or wattage for tobi or pulmozyme. I believe there were some other posts about actually using the vest in the car as well.

I am looking into a new Travel Neb also. I like the E flow , But I hear it is a
real pain to clean and has to be cleaned after each use.
I think it only holds 4 ml, I use Albuterol and Atrovent full vials. I tried DuoNeb.
I didn't think it worked as well for Me.

I am still looking , I will check beck here to see if anyone knows of another Unit.
