Tara,
I went through these questions when I first started on O2 at night. Most O2 companies provide a small portable unit for travelers at no cost to you. If your O2 company does not, you might call your insurance company and see if they have other providers that are an option. My O2 company gives me an Airsep that weighs less than 5 lbs. and looks like a little camera case. It is very quiet and can be used easily in a hotel room next to your bed without all that annoying noise. Airlines accept it because it is a concentrator. With some airlines, you have to get something filled out by your doctor. All airlines have the form on their website and it takes them about 48 hours to process. Don't worry, you will figure something out. It took me a while, but I asked the right questions and got what I needed<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
