Traveling with Pulmozyme and Tobi

We are getting ready to head to Disney in a few weeks and I will need to take Hayley's Pulmozyme and Tobi on the plane and keep them cold. I am not sure what I am allowed to use? Regular ice, or an ice pack, what will the airline allow with a small cooler to keep them cold?

Also what if any information do you take about your vest when traveling? I have read that most people get questions wiht the vest and nebulizer compressor? A letter from your doctor, a printout from the internet stating what the equipment is and what it does?

We are flying Northwest if that make any difference. Thanks in advance for any and all replies!!

I take along a lunchbag "cooler" and put the chilled drugs in it, along with one of those NICE polarpac icepacks that we got when DS's tobi was shipped to him from the CF services pharmacy. Several times we've left home really early, 2-5 hour flight, etc. gotten to our destination late at night and the ice pack is still frozen.

I just tell them it's respiratory equipment, they wipe it with special wipes (for bomb residue, I imagine), then let me go on my merry way. I do the same as Ratatosk for keeping things cold. You are allowed more than the regular carry-on allowance, too, if it's medical stuff, so you could even bring a cooler and they shouldn't hassle you too much about it. But plan to arrive at the airport earlier than the average bear <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">
