Traveling with the Vest

Hi all,

This summer my entire family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) are taking a trip to a local lake. Should be fun and my dad is footing the bill for everyone (even more fun!)

We've haven't been anywhere with the girls in the past year and a half since Kate has had her vest. Is there anything you normally do when reserving a hotel room concerning the vest? Do you tell the hotel upfront about the loud, medical equipment or have to ask for any type of special room? Maybe this is crazy to worry about, but I don't want some neighbor to call down saying we are super noisy when this vest is essential to my child!

ive never had an issue with the vest...but just as a reminder...if youre hotel has a microwave in the room, get some of the steam bags to clean neb equipment if you use nebs. (thats the thing i didnt think of the first time we traveled! have fun.

We stay at hotels at least 3-4 times a year because we travel to the City for DS doctor's appointments. Have never had issues with it at the hotel. I DO bring along clorox wipes and wipe down surfaces, remotes, door knobs, etc.

We usually bring a small thermo electric fridge for DS liquid med, pulmozyme and tobi and usually throw a couple small containers of milk, too. Used to request a fridge when he was a baby 'cuz he had a lot more liquid meds, as well as formula.

Have a great time, I was far more stressed getting prepared than I was once we arrived...we also took along her sterilizer too for nebs along with the normal case load of sanitizer, wipes etc.... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
