I get Reeces through his home health care. Dont worry, I did the same thing when I first started boiling nebs. It happens to the best of us<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> hehehe

I have been sterilizing spacers, pep-mask bits and un-boilable nebs in Milton...do you have it? Sterilising liquid that is used for babies bottles, any brand would be okay.
I only sterilise them once or twice a week, and dont know if it's really necessary, but it is for the neb. I have one from the chemist for ventolin (asthma medicine) that you cant boil.
People on the CF Trust site in the UK use Milton.

PS quick query...those of you that might use a sterilising liquid such as Milton, do you rinse the equipment of the Milton in hot water and air dry, or just let it dry?

Jenn, Weston is on pulmozyme, right? The clinic should give you a Pari LC Plus, that's what they gave me when Vinny was first put on pulmozyme. They also gave me a Pari Vortex holding chamber for the inhaler, it hasn't melted, maybe they can give you one too. I have a duck mask that hasn't melted, but the Pari bubbles the fish mask did, I'd take that out sooner.

You can try putting them in a bowl of water in the microwave to boil too, that's what I do now. Or if your dishwasher has a sanitize feature and gets hot enough, you can use that. But I agree, the sterilizer sounds like the easiest way to me, I want to get one soon.

Ditto on the Bubbles the Fish mask - ours got way discolored when we boiled it for 10 minutes. You'll find conflicting advice about Bubbles on the PARI thread. Our experience is that he can't make it 10 minutes.

Last summer I melted one of DS's neb cups. It was a spare I used for his albuterol. 'Course it was a freebie from the clinic and didn't have any cleaning instructions with it, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. Think there's a market for melted nebulizer art?

You could not have done anything wrong except putting in non-boilable stuff.

We have the Pari LC cups & the Invacare Reusable sidestream nubulizer

Don't boil the tubes
