Trio/eFlow

I know I am going to get many different responses. I know this question has been asked but I have been reading old posts over and over, I just feel the need for my own new post with your up to date info.
If you use a Trio/EFlow, what meds do you do in it? If you do more than one med are you washing inbetween meds. I typically do Albutero, HTS, Pulomozyme and Tobra 28 on 28 off. I just started using the Trio with Tobra only. Still doing the others with ProNed Ultra II and Sidestream neb. My Cf center said I can do HTS and Pulmozyme in the Eflow. I just feel the need to figure out what others are doing. I am strict about washing and sterlizing every day just not sure what to do inbetween meds.
THANK YOU!!!!

I got my eFlow and the meds for it from Foundation Care. I am not using Tobi in the eFlow rather Tobramycin 170 mg, 3.4 ml twice a day. With the eFlow this dosage takes 3.5 minutes. When I was using Tobi I would get a lot of reactive airway trouble about a week into the 4 week course. I honestly felt awful while taking Tobi but was to stubborn to accept that maybe I just could not tolerate Tobi. I am hoping the Tobramycian will be easier on me. It is my undestanding that this solution is preservative free and less likely to cause reactivity. Also you cannot use Tobi with the eFlow because the dosage is too much. The eFlow does such a great job getting the meds into the lungs that you do not need as much. A+ all around if you ask me!

I'm don't have the eflow yet... but I was wondering what dose of tobi you use in it?</end quote></div>

You have to have formulated Tobramycin for the eflow. You can't use TOBI (brand name) in the eflow as the dose is too high.

The pharmacy that provides our eflow also provides the Tobra for it, in fact we get the eflow for free as long as we buy the Tobra from them.
