Tristan, Cassandra and Ryland are home

Hey everyone, just wanted to let everyone know the babies are home.

Tristan and Cassie came home on Saturday and Ryland came home yesterday (sunday). It's been wonderful having them here, but busy too.

On friday I went into the doc with what I thought was the flu, I felt the body aches, migraine headache, fever, chills.... and I was told I have mastitis, a breast infection that is really common (I guess especially with the amount of milk I am producing- 6-7 oz every 2 hours). I was given antibiotics, tylenol and advil.

Then teh babies came home but my focus has been resting and pumping to get over the infection. Yesterday I felt really sick again so I went to the ER (when I went to pick up Ryland, I went to the ER first and Mark stayed home with the other two). I got IV antibiotics there and they changed my antibiotics for home. I'm feeling a bit better today, but Mark is doing the night feedings with my mom's help because I pump all day every 2 hours and all night.

The babies are great, doing wonderfully. The boys are really laid back and relaxed and cassie is out hyper one. None of them cry or complain much though, just when they are hungry and dirty, but we are feeding them on a schedule so there isn't too much crying. It's so great to have our family home!!!

On a side note, for those who pray, would you please keep my grandmother in your thoughts. She was just diagnosed with breast cancer on Thrusday and it's been quite the week for our family. This is her 2nd time, but she's not a good surgery candidate this time so this might be it for her. Just enjoying the rest of her life.

also, I will post some "home" pictures of the babies, but it might be a while and I might not be online as much for a while because BOTH of our freaking computers crashed last week, the laptop and the desktop. The desktop is out of warranty but the laptop isn't so we are mailing it back to have it fixed. In the meantime, when my mom is here she has her laptop (which is what I'm on now) but if I don't respond to emails/posts for a while, please understand that's why.

Thanks to all of you for all the nice thoughts, prayers, posts, PM's, emails and all the gifts..... I'm off to write thank you cards !!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Julie and Mark with having your family all under
one roof. What a triple blessing you have. Mastitis is
very common. I had it after my first pregnancy and found
the best medicine was just to have the baby naturally sucking at
the beast whenever possible. It should clear up quickly.
I hope your energy and good health returns quickly and that
your computer situation rectifies itself soon. I certainly
will keep your grandmother in my prayers. She has a lot to
look forward to with 3 great grandbabies to love and nuture.

WOW! You sound like one busy, excitied, happy, tired.....pumping mom! I'm sure its exhausting, but the most rewarding thing in the world. Must be great to have them home.
I hope you're grandma can get better-she needs to be here to spoil the babies! Wishing her the best, and comfort and strength for you.

Nursing babies is so constant! My husband used to call me Dairy Queen and I only had one baby at a time. Good luck with the schedule- I'm glad your mom can help out.

I hope your Grandma stays strong. What are they going to treat her with?

Glad you are all home together- feel better soon!

Welcome Home...... I bet it feels good to be home.. all under one roof.... Yup, you have a very common infection.. and the worst part is you have to nurse through it.

I hope your mom is able to stay with you.... and maybe you can get other family members to take shifts with the babies... even maybe recruit some ppl from your church.. just to come for an hour or two so you can get a nap in here or there... or maybe a shower or something..

Yippie, welcome home again..
