Tummy tuck pictures

I really *had* to do it in order to stay in the military, not the tummy tuck part, but the sewing the muscles back together (Mark could put his fist in the middle of my stomach and push down to my back when I was laying on the floor, that's how separated they were) and removing the hernia that was there. I just got lucky and found a military plastics guy who would even bother to see me for a consult, and from there it all worked out...he retires this thursday.

I had been waived from so many physical fitness tests since the kids were born that they were threatening to kick me out if I didn't participate in the next one (I'm waived in April due to this surgery, but will participate in sept.) so I was a little freaked. I'm very lucky that I got the TT done as well, they are expensive I hear. although tara if you are considering it, not nearly as painful recovery as the C section

Thanks for the compliments on the kids Elizabeth. YES, they were worth all the bedrest and painful contractions and even the body I was stuck with for the last 1.5 years, LOL <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I definitely have the muscle separation, but it's inches (like 2-3) not half a foot or more! And I'm not sure about a hernia. It's possible, but I've never asked any of my doctors about it. I think I'm too chicken to do the surgery, not to mention the cost. My skin is looser than before pregnancy, but not terrible, in fact no one can notice even when I'm wearing a bathing suit.

I'm glad the recovery is going so well Julie!

I updated today and added some before and after pictures, and some new pictures today. The scar will fade over time, and I'm still retaining quite a bit of fluid (had about 75cc drained today), but am very happy with his work!
