Tune Ups - but not sick?

Andrew is on ivs right now because his pfts slipped from the 100s to 85. But he felt great. It was hard in the hospital because it does feel like the nurses were wondering why we were there. He's home finishing his ivs and I feel much more comfortable here than in the hospital.

But, the way I look at it is that it's a good problem to have. Hopefully his tuneups will always be when he's feeling great and doesn't look "sick"!

If you are having shortness of breath a lot like you mentioned it is definitely time for iv's. Shortness of breath is always a big indicator for me that its time for more aggressive action . The thing with cf is.... we feel a little crappy so often that its hard to tell when we are really feeling crappy till its already almost full blown. Better to "tune up" while still feeling good than wait till you are really sick and take twice as long to recover.

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I agree - I probably belong here. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Apparently I sound 'great' after treatment, but so hot before. It's like two worlds for me right now, so I guess I'm treating the not so hot moments and I hope the meds do the trick.

Hopefully I won't go insane. 2 weeks inhouse is so tough when you're feeling okay. Not sure yet about whether I can do any of it at home.

It's all well worth it if I end up looking better on paper or otherwise.

thanks.
