Tune ups

I know when my daughter was diagnosed the doc mentioned tune ups but that was I believe that was to let us know of what may be needed in the future. That was 3 1/2 yrs. ago and it hasn't been mentioned again. I am not even exactly sure what is done when you go in for this. I guess I would think if you are healthy and everything is going good why would you mess with it?

I think you need to weigh the possible benefit of preventative tune-ups against the very real risk of catching MRSA or Cepacia or Pseudomonas while in the hospital. All three of these bugs are far more prevalent in hospitals than outside of hospitals and my personal opinion is that healthy CF patients should avoid hospitals as much as possible. Not to mention the lousy psychological effects of being confined to a hospital room when you feel fine.
