thank you Autumn! in less than 12 hrs we go back to clinic for some much needed answers... i should be sleeping but ill do that AFTER the docs and I figure out what the next step is...

thank you to all of you who have responded... amidst all of my crazy thoughts and anxieties there is a seed of hope and peace... if others can get thru it... so can we

and sometimes in life we have to do things we dont want to do... i caught myself saying this to my 5 yr old the other day.. and then it dawned on me ... i might need to take my own advice... im scared im shaken but im determined to make the best of whatever happens tomorrow... today... whatever its 3 am.. haha

Everyone please keep us in your thoughts and send us good vibes/wishes/prayers! Of course, I will let you all know what happens!!

Hi Jessica

I personally don't believe in the tune ups, if it isn't broken don't fix it. My 1st was when I was 15 but back then there wasn't much of an option but to go in the hospital. I recently heard there is a new Adult CF Dr in Jacksonville and he puts his patients in every 3 months for tune ups regardless if you are sick or not. I have never lived that way nor will I start. I agree hospitals are a place for germs and bacteria to grow and spread and being at home doing treatment is much more beneficial for me. I hate the hospital and when I used to go in when I was in my teens I would get so depressed. I have not been in since I was 18, I do all my IV treatments at home now. I think I wrote you earlier and told you I am doing a course of IV's now at home, and I am fortunate to work for a company that allows me to work at home at times like this. I usually do IV antibiotics 1 to 2x a year, I go and have a PICC put in and continue to live a normal life. Ask the Dr. what can he do for my daughter in the hospical that we can't have done at home? Remember you are her parent and if you don't feel comfortable with what the Dr. wants to do, then tell him and switch if you need to. I have not read any studies that provide proof that 3 month tune ups are more benificial to those who don't get them, not that there isn't any out there, its just I have never read one. We all worry enough about our bodies becomming ammuned to antibiotics, by introducing them every three months regardless if we are sick, does not justify the reason for me. One thing stay POSITIVE, don't let what 1 Dr. wants to do get you all worked up and sick. If you want to talk some more let me know and I will e-mail you my home phone#. I will be home all week! Keep your chin up! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

Jenn I got your pm. I will def call you.

Thanks to all for the good vibes and loving prayers.
Thank you everyone for the comments and messages... I am so exhausted and just want to sleep. Good news Jae is ok but she is going into the hospital for 14 days. I posted a blog about it. Easier than trying to reply back to everyone.

Love to all
