funny...when Isaac came out he had a scrap on his head and they think it was from his head rubbing against my pelvis for so many hours before coming out. nurses thought that he'd had one of those scalp monitors but he hadn't. We didn't want him to have one. And since he always showed up fine with the fetal monitor they never even tried.

Lauren -Yea I'm pretty familiar w/ the exercises and poses to get baby to get and stay vertex. Haven't started doing them yet as I'm still pretty lazy in my recliner. I keep saying "I'll do better next week" LOL. Spinning babies is a great resource as well as my new chiro. I know what you mean about the US lifestyle. We don't squat on a regular basis either like other cultures do and that position is supposed to be really good for labor and delivery. But many US women can't even get into a proper squat.

Leah - I'm not worried about her being breech right now. I already "knew" she was breech by where I've been feeling movement. I think there was 1 day about 3 weeks ago when I felt kicks up top but the rest of the time its all been low. Today has been a lot on my cervix and bladder. And I know what you mean - today I was like "whoah - I can't believe tomorrow I'll be 28 weeks".

Candice - your belly measures 28? Or did you mean 38? Don't worry about the size of your baby being too big - women very very rarely grow babies too big for them to birth. Fat squishes and heads mold. And besides - fundal height is subjective - it can depend on who is measuring it and how the baby is positioned in the uterus. Last week my OB measured me at 25 cm and today my midwife measured me at 28. So you never know. There is a woman I know of that had an unassisted birth about 6 months ago and her baby was 12 lbs (no she didn't have GD). She did just fine. I have also heard that bigger babies can be easier to birth because there's less wiggle room for them to get into bad positions.

nope you read right, my ob measured me at 28. i'm not worried about what i measure because at my last ultrasound they said the baby is growing fine and is on target for where he should be. a 12 lb baby, oh my goodness i think i would die!!! that is crazy! i'm not too worried about having a big baby either cause the doctor's haven't said anything to me about it. but i just want to meet the little guy already! but i know it's a little too early for that to happen. just a little longer though! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Hey,

Glad to hear everyone is doing well - pity about the pics Caroline but great that the baby is right on track sizewise. It really does make a difference which tech you get - our first scan, the tech was nice but not that communicative - the last one (3 weeks ago) was lovely and we really enjoyed the scan - not least cos we found out we are having a little girl.
I know what you mean Caroline about finding it hard to get off the recliner - I'm in love with my couch and my ball is getting dusty upstairs! Have great intentions though. Have been doing a weekly pre-natal yoga class though which I am really starting to enjoy (if you met me you would know I am the world's least likely yoga candidate, tried it before and never took to it) We use the balls a lot in that class.
We have another scan in 2 weeks when I'll be 30+2! Time is really flying for us all.

Talk soon,
