Underarm Odor in 9 year old girl

Hi all- my 9 year old (w/CF) daughter who has not begun to show any signs of puberty, has a tendency to develop a rather funky underarm odor. It comes and goes and I have a hunch it is diet related, but I wonder if this is typical for Cfers? I am concerned, too, that it might be liver related, so I have a call into the docs.

Anyone have any thoughts on this??

Thanks!

Dont be surprised if it is connected to puberty. My daughter started having to use deodorant this year.

It was pretty nasty I must say. I am not saying to rule out it being a CF thing, but given her age it could be the first sign of puberty.

Good Luck either way!

BTW some meds can do that also......if anything has changed you might look into that!

I would get her some deodorant and if that doesnt seem to fix the problem, then call the doctor. I think its puberty, she's around that age.
