Unexpected Lock Up

Thanks, AnD! Nice to hear from you.

Yes, they did a culture, but I have no idea what it came back. They were thinking a reaction to a med was causing the sick to stomach, but the oddest thing is the 3rd day here I felt totally fine and didn't take the anti-nausea med all day (compared to days 2 and 4). Also, I really don't want them to take me off a med cause I've been on them for 4 days already and I kinda freak about resistance and getting a full 14 day course.

The other REALLY weird thing is the nausea only seems bad when first waking from naps or sleep at night. And, as soon as I put my bed up or sit up and sit for awhile it gets better. Odd? I know you mentioned sleeping with my bed propped up and I think I'll try that tonight. Do you have any idea WHY it would be like that? I don't feel reflux-y.... and am on tons of prevacid... plus, I'm not eating much at all that would cause reflux.

Anyway, thanks for your response. Was the med you used phenergan? I used to use that, but this doc doesn't want to Rx it since he says it "supresses breathing" too much. (I should mention this isn't my usual CF doc as she's on vacation

Anyway, thanks again for the thoughts, prayers and info.

Oh gosh I am so sorry, I know that hospital anxiety all to well. I usually take xanex or ativan when I am in the hospital between the lack of sleep, not feeling well, the high doses of steroids.. I am a mess

I will pray for you and try to find a way to find peace somehow.. Self talk, prayer, talking it out on the phone, venting etc....

Blog your anxiety..

Lot of hugs,

Jennifer</end quote>

Thank you so much for your understanding and kind words. I appreciate it. I know we all go through a lot of anxiety dealing with all this. I just hope that is what is causing all the "issues". That way, at least xanax would maybe help in the future.

Anyway, thank you!

Sonia, I am wondering if the nausea is coming from postnasal drip? Do you have bad sinus problems... usually when I lay down... and I wake up I am sick to my stomach from everything dripping into my stomach. They when I sick up, I don't swallow so much stuff..

Just a thought I had..
