Maritza had her 1yr apt yesterday. She is still off the charts for hight and weight. She just turned one on sunday and she is the size of a two year old. I cant even put 18m size clothes on her anymore just 24m and 2t.
Her doc changed her asthma meds again. First she was on singulair with absolutly no improvement at all then she went to pulmocort .5 daily with some improvement and now she wants her on flovent. I told her she still coughs everyday and several times thoughout the day her resperations are over 50 or 60. Hopefully the flovent with help with that.
I talked to the doctor more about the sweat test and she told me that she still does belive that Maritza has cf just not that sever. She told me that as long as she does not have anymore lung infections before her pulm. apt. she should be fine to wait for the testing. I was also told that they do not order genetic testing that it has to be done at the U of Michigan.
