UPDATE: A struggling CF family

Although I agree it is "odd" in a way since most of us struggle financially at some point due to CF, but yet this is a place that people should understand their situation.

If you dont want to then dont, for those that wish to help then do so. Its all part of the support that this site is meant for.

I personally would be grateful for any help and very humbled if it was given by "strangers"!

Ender, if that's how you feel then just don't donate, or even consider it. Mark and I are poor as hell, as are a lot of members on here. But I can manage to scrounge up $5-10 dollars to help. Consider if 100 members from this site sent $3 each, that's a signifigant dent in some of her bills. I completely understand those who don't want to donate or simply can't. However, there are some that DO, so please let them read this.

Do you need some zithro? If you are serious, I can help you. If not, please don't make fun of this very sensitive situation. Her husband is DYING and she's just trying to take care of her family.

I've known LeAndra for 3+ years, from this site. She's one of the people featured on my website. When things started going really bad for Jeremy, she aske for my help in finding some assistance (like the Milan foundation, Reach for the stars foundation, the Boomer Esiason foundation...) and then set up a pay pal account for family and friends that want to donate.
Heck, I've got a paypal button on my website for donations to keep the site running. And I can't count how many people on this website sent me gifts, gift certificates, cards and said prayers for me when I had the babies.

To me, this place is a family and people should feel comfortable coming here and if they are in dire needs, asking for the assistance they need. I can't express how much the gifts and gift cards and YES, even money, helped us out. It's been a tough year for us (by our choice of course) but this site helped me through most of it. So I'm doing what I can to give back and help someone else out.

I dont think theres anything wrong in asking for donations when they are truely needed and cf related. This woman is desperate and has nowhere else to turn.
I had people on a drag racing site donate money towards a vet bill i had for my monitor lizard that was dieing of kidney disease. They sent the money directly to the vet. Now a monitor lizard has nothing to do with drag racing, but sometimes if you have nowhere else to turn but to your online friends and you are desperate, thats just what you have to do.
I see nothing wrong with Julie asking for help for this woman who's husband is dieing from cf. I sent her a donation last week and she emailed me back and thanked me from the bottom of her heart, even though i didnt send much at all. I cant imagine what this poor woman must be going thru................
