In regular room - hooked up to NOTHING! (Receiving some iv meds in port). Stats while walking on room air - 98% oxygen. Wow.

Now recovery begins. Sedation worn off, pain setting in. Appetite slowly coming back.

We are so blessed! Thanks for all the prayers and kind thoughts.

Hugs to all.

Greg is suppose to come home Friday afternoon. YEA! Staples out; oral antibiotic to fight a bacterial infection (I don't think he'll have to get a picc line --- port removed). Learned how to give insulin shots (steriod induced diabetes - may or may not continue). 100 percent oxygen on room air, whether resting or walking. WOW.

Well, if all goes well, our next update will be from home!!! Yes, that's right, we're on track to be discharged Friday afternoon. Busy last couple of days. Even had to take a test today after a post transplant class.

Took our post transplant classes. Things looking up! And so are we - thank the Lord.

Thank you to everyone who shared their encouragements and kind thoughts.

That is wonderful to hear.. and just so you know usually steroid induced diabetes usually goes away especially if the medication doses get lower as time goes on. I had that happen slightly, and it's from prednisone... Now that my prednisone dose is low I don't have that problem anymore... and I couldn't bear drinking diet cokes <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">
