update on kaiden

we went to his appt and they did the second sweat test. His first one was a 41, his second sweat test was only a 30.
They are doing all these tests because of his pancreatic insufficiency. But with his sweat test only being 30 do you guys think its a good chance he doesnt have CF? or half and half?

THEY FINALLY did the FULL PANEL GENETICS TEST!!! YAY!!! so 2-4 wks for those results and we will finally know for sure <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

When DS had his sweat test, it gave me hope that maybe they were wrong about CF, because it 32, but he was pancreatic insufficient and born with meconium illeus. Genetic blood testing showed two copies of delta f508.

At least you're able to get the full panel done, so you can get some clear answers. Good luck!

This must be so tough for you and your family. Way to go on getting the full Ambry panel done. Please let us know the results, either way. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

30 is still borderline so it IS GREAT they are finally doing the ambry testing. I can't even believe it took you this long to get the second sweat test! Anyway i am so glad to hear they are doing the testing but i'll be hoping it is not CF and instead something he will just grow out of. I know waiting is so hard....let us know when you learn something!

I know!! i cant believe it took me this long to get the second sweat test done either! its definately been a long road!!
