Heather,

Kaylee has always been very sick, and she was transplanted in Oct. 2005. She did really well for about a year with her new lungs, but her body has rejected them and she is not a canidate to be retransplanted. When Kaylee was told this, she said it was OK, that she didn't want to go through it again anyways I am sure this was extremely difficult for the transplant team to have to tell this sweet little girl that there was nothing else they could do for her. So, she was given approximately 1-3 months as of the beginning of June.

You can visit her site at www.caringbridge.org/visit/kayleemaze. You can read all about what she has gone through.
