Update on Mel (Jazzysmom)

Thanks for the update! Although, I apologize for not getting on the boards more often lately and actually hadn't been keeping current on Mel's crazy ups and downs until now!

Mel, hope you're feeling much better soon, girl! How's the thrush and throat, etc.? I too love the Wii, but played tennis and bowling for the first time last night and today cannot lift my right arm or turn my head.... Hope you're stretching before you play!

Finally able to get on the computer after a week, but it could kick me off at any time. SOOO lets see. My Sugars are starting to creep up. I guess the steroids & increased appetite dont agree. They arent out of control yet tho.

My blood work is FINALLY looking normal. After 2 weeks of iv's I was still showing dehydration. The boosted by TPN volume which did the trick. My weight shows a 12 pound increase which I know is not 100% right since I am on iv's, but I know its not poop since I am pretty empty in that department LOL

I have changed enzymes. Mainly to get the free shake that I like to drink at home, but they wanted to start me in here to make sure there were no real issues. Stools are looser, but I also have been on 3 iv antibiotics for 16 days.

My lungs sound good. I feel good, but my 02 sats still arent great. If the next 2 weeks dont bring some major changes I will be on 02 24/7 for the cruise. Not sure how to accomodate all that 02 need.....Thanks to a good friend we aree looking into alternative methods

My poor baby girl had a rough time with her tooth extraction. The original procedure was stopped by her Dad when he saw she wasnt handling it well. He was in the room. So Yesterday he took her to an oral surgeon who knocked her out & removed all 4 at once. She called me hysterical from the pain of the jaw & that was before the novicaine wore off.

She is better today, but still sore enough that they didnt come down to visit again.

Weekends are extremely slow around here. I much prefer the hustle & bustle of a weekday even if its tiring.

Not much else to report so

so i've been a bad lurker i guess you could say? i haven't really been on in a few weeks. everything has been crazy! i didn't know mel was in lock up!!! i knew it was coming but good gravy!! guess i should stop in more. anyways hope you get to feeling even better mel before your cruise!!! and maybe hopefully the whole O2 could maybe just be a night thing or if you are just chilling in your room. either way good luck!!
