Update on my situation

<div>Hey you guys,</div>

<div>Just thought I would share-I picked up some xrays and their
reports today.  It looks like I have pneumonia in my left lung
with a possibility of a superimposed active pulmonary lesion (I
dont know what this means) I am angry about this too, because
back in march I had pneumonia-I have been with blood pressure has
been high, low o2  and pfts-sooooo a my drs bell should
have went off and said,"Gosh, her pneumonia hasnt cleared
up.  Lets be more aggresive?" You would
think-instead I have suffered thinking this was normal progression
of my desease-it really stinks to be new to this and not have a
good Dr.  (Lucky for me my prayers are answered and I go to
our new Adult CF CLinic in the morning)</div>

<div>Also it looks like I may have a kidney stone.  I know a
bunch of you have put up with my whinning about the charlie horse
on my left side-well-I think I found charlie.  I am soooo mad
though, because I have been suffering with it for 6+ months-and it
is a freaken kidney stone???  I could have had relief-my Dr
said he thought it might be pleurisy-well, tests could have been
done to help me-if nothing more meds could have eased my
pain!!</div>

<div>Sooooo, the good news is, my O2 is low because I have freaken
infection-not because my desease has progressed.  I can sooooo
deal with that. I am gonna Hop on meds-ivs what ever-I am
ready to rock and roll-I want to be well, my kiddos need
me!!!!!</div>

<div>Soooo, I will go share all my new info with my new Doctor
and  I will let you all know what he decides to do. <br>
Thanks you guys, for being there for me threw the whole oxygen
scare-not sure what he will do-I am just happy I have some idea as
to why all of this is happening.</div>

<div>Hugs-</div>

It always good to get answers and know what the real culprit of your symptoms are. Good luck at the new clinic, and feel better soon <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Good Luck tomorrow Marcy. I hope that you get some good meds and start to get on the road to recovery. Maybe we will see each other in passing ... we can wave from across the waiting room lol.

Take Care,
Lindsey

Marcy, I hope you got some better answers at the clinic today. They need to get on top of your meds and deal with your problems! How bad to have felt so rotten and not have anyone truely treat you for tproperly. I hope you're feeling better now. Let us know how things turned out with your clinic visit.

<div>Hey Guys,</div>

<div>Sorry I didnt post yesterday. I was consumed with it all-then
regular night time stuff with the kids.</div>

<div>The CLinic visit went well.  We did not have enough time,
actually.  I was their first patient (As an Adult CLinic) and
things were a little, well, I guess they just need to work out a
couple kinks.  Nothing bad, at all, the visit was good.
I bombarded them with so much info-it was really hard to keep
focused and cover everything. I think I may go back again next
week, because I feel like we didnt cover everything. And after
2 hours, I had to leave, I had to pick up my kiddos from
school.</div>

<div>So the out come of it is, the New Dr was livid that I had not
been taken care of and how the Dr let my condition get like
this.  He looked at my Cat Scan from March and said I had the
biggest mucus plugs. (Couldnt understand how my last Dr didnt see
that) Said that I was sooooo full of junk, that I must cough more
than I do anything else in life-I was like-DUHHHH?! haha I asked
him about the pheumonia I read about on the XRay report-and he said
that wasnt his top concern, But of course he is treating it. He was
more worried about having a sleep test done as my oxygen level gets
so low while I sleep.</div>

<div>So bottom line is, he put me on 2000 mgs of antibiotic (oral)
pulmozyme 2 times a day-vest 3 times (UGHHHH!) and I have to do a
sleep study.  If I am feeling up to it, we are suppose to go
on vacation Friday. (An easy, relaxing trip-WELL NEEDED).  The
Dr said it would be fine for me to go if I decide to and when I get
back he wants to put me in the hospital, do a bronch scope on me
and then IV antibiotics-said that should all take 4 days and then
he would send me home on IV for 2 weeks.</div>

<div>I am concerned about so much antibiotics, 2 weeks on oral and
then 2 weeks IV-have any of you been on that much??</div>

<div>Thanks you all for being there for me.</div>

<div>Lots of love</div>

Boy Marcy, what a lot to take in! I don't think those are too much antibiotics, he must really want to kick the crap in your lungs. I wouldn't do it for longer though, that is a lot of stuff. Your body needs to try to fight it on it's own also. Hope you're feeling well enough to take that vacation! Your need a break!
