Update on Nephew

Isn't that the truth! Concerned Aunt your sis is so so lucky to have you and I admire you for being there for her. I will be pulling for your family to make it through this temporary setback and please know that there are more manageable times ahead. Hang in there!

First the diagnosis and now pneumonia. Your sister must be very stressed. She is very fortunate to have such a caring family. Both of my kids had pneumonia once as infants when they were around 3 or 4 months old, but not since. When there lungs are so small it can be hard to clear them, especially since he wasn't getting cpt. Both of my kids first six months was a roller coaster, since it has been much easier. Hopefully it will be the same for your nephew.

I know how hard it is to be stuck in that little hospital room for weeks....everyday the room seems to get a little smaller!! Not to mention the fact she is dealing with a new diagnosis, a sick baby, and having to watch your child in pain is the most horrible thing of all. I know I loved having my family members visit us and also our pastor. It gets very lonely when you are there day in and day out with a child who cannot talk yet! Like the others said...magazines, movies, snacks, crosswords, novels, hand held electronic games (deal or no deal is really fun and so is tetris)....anything to take up time!

Another thing.....if the formula is pregestimil...my son loved it and the doctors and nurses were suprised. He drank it until he was about 1 1/2 years old. He did just fine on it. Hope everything gets better for your sister and nephew very soon...you all our in my prayers!
