Diane, I'm so sorry to hear of your lose. Pets are like family, and I couldn't imagine what I would do without my cat. My thoughts are with you.

Diane, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. You're going to have lots of souls up there to reserve you a good spot when your time comes. That's one way to think of it at least. You are a brave woman to put a pet down... not easy but definitely the right thing to do.

Can you share a happy memorie you have your little girl Za? I've never known someone with a lizard they were close to so your story would be very interesting to me. Do you think you'll get more lizards? How did you get 'into' having lizards?

I remember when Za was given to me as a gift in a little clear plastic box. I reached in fully expecting her to try to make an escape ( they are naturally fearful), but Za happily accepted my hand. When i took her out of the box she sat there like she knew me forever. Za would break out of her cage and run over to my other lizard cage while i would feed them and she would easily fit thru the bars and start eating their food even though it was bigger than she was( they were BIG full grown iguanas). Za was not afraid of the larger lizards nor of my cats. At some point it became clear that Za preferred to live with the large iguanas so i allowed her to. She grew fast and big, but always remained the most tame calm peaceful little girl. I have 5 iguanas still , 4 females ( her cagemates) and 1 male. I also have a skink and 2 cats. No-one is any less significant than the other, i love them all as though they are my children. I have included the last picture taken of me holding Za...............
