Cheyenne is going home! Here's the last pm I got:

I dont remember the last results I gave you so if I repeat some, I am sorry...lol. The cultures from the bronch arent all in, but so far what is in, looks pretty good. The things she was culturing before we came in are finally gone..
The doctor just came in and said she can go home this evening after they do her PFT's. She is still not eating but he thinks her appetite will pick up after she is home.
She has to have I.V.'s until we go see him in his office on the 21st, so no school til after that visit.

Thanks for all of your prayers,
Debbie

Here are updates from Debi about Cheyenne, we need to keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Little Cheyenne could use some cards and cheering up--and so could Debbie!

Tues--Jan.8th
Hi Terri, they placed the picc yesterday and got it in the wrong spot so had to move it...she is still not eating and last night she threw up, but I think that was because of the sedative they gave her before the picc. Right now she is sleeping. The doc is doing the bronch on Wednesday morning at 10. He said the xray looked a little better, but he still wants to do it to make sure there are no suprises in there...I tend to agree with him and at the same time, I dont want her to have it.
We finally got to meet the Child Life Specialist. She has been very helpful and will come in before the bronch and go over it with Cheyenne and then she will stay with her during the whole thing to help her remain calm. I am so relieved about that since they wont let me go in there. They said they do it in PICU.Wed.--

Jan. 10th
We are still in the hospital and as of now, no parole date has been determined. She is still not eating..she usually eats 5000-7500 calories a day so that is a big change. He said he will not talk about release until she is eating normally (for her anyway).
He did the bronch today. Her sats went to 77, blood pressure and heart rate dropped so they kept her in PICU today. She is doing much better now but she has thrown up again.
The bronch showed major inflammation and mucus in her left lung. He said her right lung was pretty good. Some scarring in both.
He is really upset about her being on orals so much. He said from now on whenever she is sick..two weeks of oral antibiotics, if she is not well, in she goes. We should have the results of the bronch on Friday.
