Urinary Incontinence Surgery Update

So, I had my surgery on June 30. I was not supposed to lift over 10 pounds, but I had to lift my 14 pound baby, repeatedly. Night two after my surgery, I tripped over a toy in Chris' room and fell, gashing open my head, and I worried about tearing my insides. Day 3, I lifted bags of laundry at the laundromat, because our dryer is broken. Thank goodness, we will be building a house and not renting come November. Days 3-5, I had horrible allergy postnasal drip, even with a ton of allergy meds. <img src="i/expressions/coughing.gif" border="0"> Yesterday, 6 days after my surgery, I had to carry my 50 pound son, who split open his head, and was too upset to walk. So, are you wondering if I yanked the stitches out, yet? (Actually, I should say surgery glue, because that's what they really used.)

Well, I had bleeding days 1-5 from the surgery and was unsure whether I had any incontinence due to that, but I knew if I had had incontinence it was much less than usual. Yesterday, with the bleeding done, I switched from Poise pads to Ultra Thin Maxis.

Last night, after my shower, I couldn't find the pads I just bought, and I was out of Poise pads, so I went without. Guess what? I did NOT wet the bed. Granted, last night was not a cough-all-night night, so I will have to test that out, but I think the surgery really worked!!! Ladies, tomorrow I am going pad free during the day.
