USA pop idol Vs British pop idol

I slagged off the ''talent'' of Taylor, the winner of Pop idol, well him and every other contestant in the show, and said that the British show was much better.
Well i thought that I should back this claim up, so check out 'Journey South', they were the runners up on the show and their album is out there just now. They have been likened to Simon and Garfunkle, in their vocals.

Craig,

I LOVE American Idol, so I will make sure and check out Journey South. Do Pop Idol and American Idol work the same? Do the viewers pick who the winner is?

ALSO
"come on Janet, I'm a bloke."

this might be a stupid question, but what is a bloke?

LOL it's slang for a "man" . i'm sorry to laugh but that seems really funny to me. there are a lot of differences like that. i cringe when you say "fanny pack". fanny is rude here. ps. i have managed to log in properly now and just to let you know i have been signing in as janet uk .

seana30, fanny is a rather endearing word that we Brits use to describe a ladies nether region, its a quaint word don't you think?

there are other words which have different meanings as you cross the Atlantic, just remember that the English language belongs to the UK, so any different meanings that you may come up with are not true meanings. Two spring to mind, fanny, that we have previously disscussed, and rubber. A rubber in the mother tongue, is simply another name for an eraser. I sure there are others, Janet you can help me on this.

Craig, having a ball.
