I just give Reece motrin when he has a fever or mild cold to take the yucky feeling away. (try to anyways) other then that nothing. I heard that if you are older that IB profen is ok to take but tears up your tummy.

What sort of inflamation are you talking about? I was prescribed 1600 millagrams of ibuprofen a day when I was about 13. My liver functions had to be checked every three months and I cintinued using it all the way through high school. I never had any liver or stomach problems, but it lost its effectivness. I LOVED Vioxx, but now use Celelbrex. I still occasionally pop an ibuprofen, but the standard dose.

Lung inflammation, I have been on alternate day prednisone for several years and I am thinking that maybe it is time to try something else because I am concerned about continuing with prednisone even though I just take it every other day. My doctor doesnt seem to be too worried about me using this for so long. I just thought it would be helpful for me to find out what others use.

Well wenever ive needed it i took prednisone, but just for a couple of weeks and then stopped, wen inflammation goes down. I took it for bout 2 yrs wen i was younger but my doc didnt like me being on it, so i was like weaned off it. I just take a steroid inhaler now - Seretide
