So I'm in the middle of a 2 week course of cipro (750 mg twice a day) and inhaled TOBI twice a day. I've never been on TOBI but used cipro quite a bit. I've noticed some side effects and I don't know if its from one, the other, or both. First of all even if I do eat right before or right after taking the cipro I get naucious (it's better if I DO eat). I never noticed that with cipro before. The second thing is loose stools. Not really diareah because I don't feel like I have to go RIGHT NOW. This started as soon as I started the antibiotics. At first I just thought it was something I ate that didn't agree with me, but its been a week now and I haven't eaten anything unusual (except I started eating oatmeal every morning for the fiber, clearly it isn't working). Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what did you do about it???
My second question has nothing to do with that but I know this is probably the place to ask. When my boyfriend was born there was something wrong with his....uh....pluming, and he had to have surgery. Now he thinks he may not be able to have kids. I don't know exactly what was wrong or what they did to fix it (I'm not sure he even knows, he was only 3 months old). We are planning on getting married next summer and starting our family shortly there after. We both really want to have kids (even though we would adopt if we can't have our own we both really want at least one of our own, and I have always wanted to be pregnant). I don't know what I'll do if it turns out that we can't have kids. Of course it won't change the way I feel about him but I'll be really disappointed. So what I need to know is if anyone has heard of or expereienced anything similar and what you did about it? Also he told me that its really expensive just to get a sperm count, is that right? What does it cost, and does insurance cover it?
