I have not read the links but if you choose not to vaccinate your child (I will not get into my views on this) how are you educating your child? Surely you cannot send them to school unvaccinated?</end quote>

every state offers various exemptions that you can get. yes, she will go to school unvaccinated with an exemption

Hi,

Wanderlost thank you so much for all of the data!!! You really toook a lot of time and I really apprectiate it.
I met with my pediatrician today and he is supportive if we decide not to vaccinate, or if we decide to delay the vaccinations. Although I think some of them are important I do not believe they all need to be done at this young age. I will visit the links you posted and eduacate myself more.

By the way the reason I started this topic is because my son was doing great until the Hep B vaccine at two weeks- the doctors are saying that he has developed a milk protein allergy and although this may be true he has symptoms in common with an adverse reaction to the Hep B vaccine as well. Hard to say at this point and although we have followed the doctors recommendation and changed the formula to Neocate we are still waiting for him adjust. So that is what started my research and concern about vaccinations. (btw- I did breastfeed for the week and then developed a serious lung infection and they put me on Cipro- that is when I stopped breastfeeding and switched to formula).

Nicole- As far as school goes depending on your state you can either get an exemption or say you will not vaccinate due to religious reasons. Your state laws can be found your local library.

Anyway thanks for all of the info-

Thanks for the info Wander. I work in the medical field but often wonder about this for my own children. I appreciate you taking the time to put it all together.
