I've got a riccar with hepa filter and some other bells & whistles. It's an older model. It takes vacuum cleaner bags. I don't like the idea of using the bagless ones because when I used to use a bissel electric broom for sweeping up the kitchen area, when I'd empty the cup into the garbage the dust, hair, etc, would come flying back into my face.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a new riccar, but we're gradually getting rid of all our carpet in exchange for hardwood, laminate & tile floors -- so for $25 I bought a hardwood floor kit for my vacuum -- just an extra long hose and brush/hardwood floor attachment.
