Maybe it just meant you were not eligible for the study? No reason for the drug not to work!

PA does not even keep you from being in the study! Cepacia was one of the things that would keep you out, but not PA.

My son has been in the 770 trial and still is in open label (he's 32). He was colonised with pa and has had it for years....the drug works for him <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> See my post in the thread lower about new drugs I think.

The 770/809 trial was stopped and they are revamping so to speak! Trials to start again soon I believe.

No, results of the early Phase 2 (2a?) for Vx809/Vx770 combo should be coming out in the next couple of weeks, probably in conjunction with the early Nov. CF conference in Anaheim, Ca. No one knows the results yet. More trials are planned or underway for Vx809/Vx770 and the alternate Vx661/Vx770. So keep watching for results....
