Forgive me but your question makes me curious. Vertex Drugs

I'm sorry but your question makes me extremely curious. What difference would it make if they do or if they don't?

I'm not trying to start a debate.

It matters to me because morally I would not be able to let my son take a medicine that I knew was derived or developed using embryonic stem cells.

Even if it could save his life? I don't what the drug is derived from....but that would be tough to be in your shoes.

Interesting question Nicole...it's not a "gene therapy" per se. I would assume that it's not derived from stem cells. The drugs aren't creating new cells, they are correcting an exisiting protein. There wouldn't be a reason for stem cell usage. In simplified terms, that is! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> You wouldn't be alone in your concern!
