Very Low Body Temperatures?

I keep getting reads of very low temperatures on my thermometer. I mean, it's probably a very cheap one, and at first I just thought it was a fluke, but this is the second instance in which I got these readings while not feeling well, and it's consistent. Last time was about a month ago, and it was the same thing that happened to me this weekend: not feeling so hot, took temperature, about 98, okay. Still not feeling so hot the next day, take temperature, 96. Take it again later, 95. Last time it even went down to 94. That doesn't make sense to me, wouldn't that be hypothermia???

But the device seems consistent, and whenever I take my temp when I'm not sick, I get a perfectly normal 98.6. I have noticed that my temperature tends to run little low, and that if it reaches 99 I already feel extremely feverish. I've seen other people here say that too, and just accepted it as the norm, but... this is just crazy.

A couple things. First get your thyroid checked by someone good...level of two is ideal. I have thyroid issues and running low body temp is one sign. And if you run low body temp at 99 you do have a fever. Second if you are taking upon waking there is variation if your a woman based on cycle. Will be between .5 and 1 degree lower before you ovulate. Three maybe just a bad thermo. I'm normally 97 to 98 range so if I get to 99, I'm sick.

Thank you for your advice! I made an appointment with my doctor for tomorrow so i guess I'll see what his thermometer says and go from there.

When i take my temp it is always 95 and when i hit 98 I am running a fever I had my thyroid checked and nothing came out of it but I might see about a re due on the blood work thanks!
