I am looking at purchasing a vest for my 22 year old daughter. We are considering a Hill-Rom vest... Model 104. We do not have a distributor here so are trying to make a decision via information provided by a sales rep in another state. Any information anyone could provide would be much appreciated. The purchase price here in Australia is approx $15 000!!
If there are other brands available any info would be great.
Many thanks

Check out my blog..... the man who created the Vest comments on the differences between the brands. The bottomline is that you should definitely look into Respirtech (www.respirtech.com)

Go to my blog, scroll down to the left where it says "categories" and click on "warwick's letter."

if you want some context on who Dr. Warwick is, you can read this eye-opening article form the New Yorker. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.newyorker.com/archive/2004/12/06/041206fa_fact

Good for you for trying to help your daughter. The Vest will make a huge difference in her life!!!!!!!

blueschick, I strongly suggest that you speak with your daughter's social worker at her CF center before committing. My insurance wouldn't cover it, so I spoke with my social worker and she pulled some stings and I got it absolutely free!
