Vinnie's hosiptal update

My 8 year old son, he will be 9 tomorrow!!! yeah, has been home from the hospital for two weeks and is still on IV therapy. He recently cultured MRSA and stenotrophamonas. They're treating him for both and he's got so much stuff going through him that he's been vomitting for 2 days. They finally decided to pull the cefamine (Thank God!) to give him some relief. The good thing is that his weight has held steady (60 lbs) but his FEV1 will not budge. It's at 74% and he usually runs around 92%. I'm hoping for a good day tomorrow since it's his birthday...I forgot how tiring the whole hospital/IV thing is since he hasn't had to do either since 2004. I hope all of you had a great holiday and I pray for strength and good health for the upcoming year.

Tell Vinnie I said Happy Birthday and hope he starts feeling better really soon. That is good though that he hasn't had to be in since 2004! I'll prayer for you guys!
