anyone else use this? we are about to start using to put down zoeys ng tube cuz she wont take her enzymes by mouth anymore

Yes, we use Viokase with Josh's overnight feed. He takes 4 enzymes (ultrase 20) before his feed starts and 4 when his feed ends after 8 hours. We stick the Viokase in about 3 hours after the feed starts.

My husband mixes it in hot water to remove all the lumps before he puts it in the bag. In the hospital the nurses mix it in the bag, but it seems to get lumpy and jam the pump.

I'm not sure if it is helping Josh or not since he's so bad about remembering his enzymes during the day (teenagers!)

I havent heard that name in years. This was my first enzyme at dx. Sorry cant help you with the ng tube. I took mine orally.

My dad mixes it in water too, to get the lumps out. Otherwise it clogs the tubing and doesn't go in! The nurses get it clogged here too! I seem to know more than they do<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
