Vitamin Question

So I have had problems filling my prescription for SourceCF softgels a lot over the past year. My doctor has sent the script to my mail order pharmacy and they either just dont fill it at all or they might let me know that it cant be filled. The reason it cannot be filled is because insurance wont cover it. Now I called the pharmacy the other day and said can I just pay out of pocket for it since I really need it. And the person was like well you need a prior authorization from the doctor, then insurance will cover it. Well, now I am aging out of my parents health insurance (as of Monday, my 26th birthday). I am in the process of getting MA public health care, but that may take time and I will have to switch my pharmacy.

My question to all of you that are knowledgable about CF is...What if I used an OTC multivitamin? I know those are not as good, but is it better than nothing? Will it do anything for me? I am thinking the reason I keep getting sick is because I dont take a multivitamin. Should I go out and get something OTC? Or just wait till I get more health insurance? Please help!

Thanks!

What kind of enzymes do you use? If you use Creon you can get the Source CF softgels for free.

Will your insurance cover ABDEK? That is what my daughter takes. Her doctor told us she also needs to take a good OTC Multivitamin as well.
