voice concerns

My 4 yr old daughter is on inhaled TOBI for the first time. At two weeks into her treatment, her voice changed dramatically. I know that this is a side effect from TOBI. My question is: how long does this last after her treatment is done? Will her voice ever go back to how it was before? Does this happen everytime she is on TOBI? Does it hurt? It sounds so raspy and hoarse that it hurts my throat just to hear her.

Sorry for so many questions but I would appreciate any and all replies.

MY SON PEYTON TAKES TOBI HE GETS ALITTLE HORSE BUT HIS VOICE ALWAYS GOES BACK TO NORMAL BUT HE TAKES IT 30 DAYS ON AND 30 OFF.

It will go away, and may come in and out during the course of TOBI. It is irritating and can be sore. Children's chloroseptic might help, I always drink plenty of water or hot tea after TOBI. I also like to poor a tablespoon of honey down my throat when it's scratchy and I don't have any chloroseptic around.

I posted almost the same back in July when my 7 month old cultured psued. and had to go on Tobi. She was on it only a few days and almost lost her voice totally. They lowered the dose and her voice back and she hasn't cultured it in three months and is doing great. But her voice is back to normal.

Reece is also on TOBI & his voice also got very hoarse. I just thought he caught a cold, its nice to know hes not the only one & I have this site to come on & find out answers to most of my ques., thanks!!! This is his 1st time on it & hes getting ready to come off.

Someone on a different CF website told me to try giving my daughter carbonated water after Tobi treatments to help with her voice - we did and it works. She no longer has the raspy voice.
